HS32 TOAST – The Last Word (Slipped Away)

It was October 2021 and I hadn't seen Thomas in quite some time. 
 
He’d domiciled differently since we last got together and was living in a new neighborhood.   He and Amy are wonderful hosts, and their home is filled with stories, and things that can be useful if the stories lend themselves to song, and you want to sing them.   
 
We made quick work of catching up, laughing, sharing a meal, and drinking some wine.  The usual.  We sat down in his living room and started playing like we’ve done a thousand times before.  
 
This is how it works for us;
A short-hand. 
The time away doesn’t get in the way.

Today’s offering - a sketch of a song we recorded that evening before we succumbed to laughter again, and barreled down the stairs to the neighborhood bar, to hear someone else’s stories.
