Master tapes….hmmmmm…..

Ooooohhhhh masters….I loves me some Dis/Location more than anything else. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Cuz I’m thinking reissue. And vinyl. And t-shirts. And kick ass guitar solos. And a reissue tour. And hanging out backstage so Tommy can teach me how to play everything on this album. And ……

Ok….getting carried away. Let’s start with a reissue and go from there.

So cool to hear the demo version...a radio broadcast version has been floating around with the fans for years.

First of all, I’d like the record to show that I personally did all I could to promote 7m3 in a post-industrial city in the Midwest. Having gone to high school with a couple of you famous knuckleheads, I was known to tell everyone I knew (humble brag?) back then all things about my favorite band. I was starstruck that I actually shared classes with artists who had produced one of my favorite albums of all time. (I’m like WHA????) I’m certain I prattled on and on... I worked in a bar my senior year and took every opportunity to “grab the aux cord” and DJ my favorite new band. More often than not, the overserved patrons and overserved staff would look at me and say, “who the F is this?”-- in a good way. So if the band’s sales weren’t reflective of the free marketing in Indiana, that’s on me.

Although I knew y’all’s music back then, it’s only with age and perspective that I can really hear your beautiful, angry, poignant lyrics, JR! Really, you are truly gifted!

Happy to hear you are safe home in America. (Wait, where is home anyway?) and (IS America really safe rn?)??? My apologies, probably not the best place for these musings. Point being, you’ll have to keep us posted on your US travels while you’re still stateside. I’m jealous. Austin is easily one of my favorite American cities. The dark haired clique from BM and I went down there summer of 1994... thanks for taking me back in time.

Please excuse my nostalgia. I think my eyes just got wet.
